{Book Trailer Reveal} Veronica Rossi's 'Through The Ever Night'

The reveal for the trailer for Veronica Rossi's upcoming sequel for Under the Never Sky, Through The Ever Night was released to day on VH1.com. :D Here's what they said:

It would be super easy to dismiss any new dystopian young adult trilogies as copycats of the Hunger Games phenomenon — except the authors of these books keep coming up with scarier — and brilliantly original — ways of showing us how the future could go horribly, horribly wrong. Veronica Rossi did that with this year’s Under the Never Sky, which followed 17-year-old Aria exiled from a (literally) sheltered world where devices implanted in people’s eyes create a virtual reality to keep them content to remain indoors forever. Outside, dangerous lightning makes everyday life a gamble, but some Outsiders, like Peregrine, have acute senses to help them and their tribes survive. Of course, Perry and Aria meet up, and their chemistry rivals those deadly lightning bolts. Until, that is, their heroic antics force them to part ways.

In the trailer for book two, Through the Ever Night, we see that Perry and Aria will be reunited, thank goodness. But since this is the second book in a trilogy, we know things won’t be all happily ever after right away.

“The trailer captures the rising stakes that Peregrine and Aria face in Through the Ever Night. If book one was their story, book two broadens the scope to include their societies,” Rossi told VH1 via email. “There are many aspects I loved about writing this book, but one in particular was the introduction of secondary characters who stole my heart. I think I might write some fan fiction on the side about them!”

That’s got our attention, for sure. Through the Ever Night hits shelves on January 8. The trilogy has been optioned by Warner Bros., too, so check back here for movie updates too!

I think this was a very neat trailer, I just hope this is a teaser trailer. That way they can do another one like they did with the trailer for the first book with real life acting and stuff like that! But take what you can get, I guess. ;P I cannot wait for this book to come out. The wait is almost unbearable for this piece!

And now, I give you the trailer! c:

{Cover Reveal} Antigoddess by Kendare Blake

Antigoddess
by Kendare Blake

Expected Publication: September 10th 2013
Publisher: Tor Teen
Format: Hardcover, 352 pages

Old Gods never die…

Or so Athena thought. But then the feathers started sprouting beneath her skin, invading her lungs like a strange cancer, and Hermes showed up with a fever eating away his flesh. So much for living a quiet eternity in perpetual health.

Desperately seeking the cause of their slow, miserable deaths, Athena and Hermes travel the world, gathering allies and discovering enemies both new and old. Their search leads them to Cassandra—an ordinary girl who was once an extraordinary prophetess, protected and loved by a god.

These days, Cassandra doesn’t involve herself in the business of gods—in fact, she doesn’t even know they exist. But she could be the key in a war that is only just beginning.

Because Hera, the queen of the gods, has aligned herself with other of the ancient Olympians, who are killing off rivals in an attempt to prolong their own lives. But these anti-gods have become corrupted in their desperation to survive, horrific caricatures of their former glory. Athena will need every advantage she can get, because immortals don’t just flicker out.

Every one of them dies in their own way. Some choke on feathers. Others become monsters. All of them rage against their last breath.

The Goddess War is about to begin.

My Thoughts: Omfg. This cover is sooo brilliant. I haven't read any of Kendare's books, but I definitely plan on it soon. All the reviews I've seen on her books are positive all the way, and then she writes a Greek Mytho book series. It's like icing on the cake. :) I can't wait to read this and her other books! <3

{Cover Reveals} Two New Covers!

School Spirits
(Hex Hall Spin-Off #1)
by Rachel Hawkins

Expected Publication: May 14th 2013
Publisher: Disney-Hyperion
Format: Hardcover, 304 pages

Fifteen-year-old Izzy Brannick was trained to fight monsters. For centuries, her family has hunted magical creatures. But when Izzy’s older sister vanishes without a trace while on a job, Izzy's mom decides they need to take a break.

Izzy and her mom move to a new town, but they soon discover it’s not as normal as it appears. A series of hauntings has been plaguing the local high school, and Izzy is determined to prove her worth and investigate. But assuming the guise of an average teenager is easier said than done. For a tough girl who's always been on her own, it’s strange to suddenly make friends and maybe even have a crush.

Can Izzy trust her new friends to help find the secret behind the hauntings before more people get hurt?

Rachel Hawkins' delightful spin-off brings the same wit and charm as the New York Times best-selling Hex Hall series. Get ready for more magic, mystery and romance!

My Thoughts: I actually really like this cover. It fits perfectly with the Hex Hall feel of the spin off. And the special effects on the mirror. :) It adds a lot of mystery! Very well done!

Expected Publication: May 21st 2013
Publisher: Harlequin TEEN
Format: Hardcover, 304 pages

Finley Jayne, Griffin and their crew are stunned when one of their own is kidnapped. Emily has a way with machines—she can literally talk to them. But the automatons who abducted her aren’t ordinary machines. They’re almost human—and they want Emily to do something as horrifying as it seems possible.

To save Emily, Finley must contact the highly unsettling Jack Dandy and face her feelings for two vastly different men, even as Griffin’s nightmares threaten to turn into a reality that might just end them all.

My Thoughts: I love the covers in this series. And I especially love this one. Who wouldn't like this type of cover? I have yet to read this series, but I plan on starting it after all the raving reviews I've seen on it. Excellent job on this cover. LOVE IT. <3
