{Cover Reveals} Naturals and Chosen at Nightfall

Naturals
(The lost Souls, #2)
by Tffany Truitt

Expected Publication: April 9th 2013
Publisher: Entangled Teen
Format: Paperback, 352 pages

Tess is finally safe from the reach of the Council, now that she is living in the Middlelands with the rebel Isolationists. With James having returned to Templeton, she easily falls back into her friendship with Henry, though her newfound knowledge of Robert’s chosen one status still stings. Even surrounded by people, Tess has never felt more alone. So she’s thrilled when James returns to the settlement, demanding to see Tess — until she finds out that it’s because her sister, Louisa, has been recruited into Tess’s old position at Templeton, and that the dangerously sadistic chosen one George has taken an interest in her.

My Thoughts: This is an okay cover. I haven't read the first book so I don't really have that much so say other than it's just okay lol.

My Thoughts: I really love the covers in this series. They're so pretty and scenic. I love this one especially. I like how the trees are framing the cover and the lake is all foggy and mysterious. ;P

Don’t look at Them. Never let Them know you can see Them.

That is Ethan Chase’s unbreakable rule. Until the fey he avoids at all costs—including his reputation—begin to disappear, and Ethan is attacked. Now he must change the rules to protect his family. To save a girl he never thought he’s dare to fall for.

Ethan thought he had protected himself from his older sister’s world—the land of Faery. His previous time in the Iron Realm left him with nothing but fear and disgust for the world Meghan Chase has made her home, a land of myths and talking cats, of magic and seductive enemies. But when destiny comes for Ethan, there is no escape from a danger long, long forgotten.

My name is Ethan Chase. And I may not live to see my eighteenth birthday.

{Casting News} New Actors for TMI and THG!

A lot of casting went on today for both of my biggest fandoms yet; The Mortal Instruments and The Hunger Games :) Let's just get right to it.

Vampire Lieutenant: Elyas M'Barek

Alaric: Harry Van Gorkum

Eric: Chris Ratz

I think all three of them are just awesome for The Mortal Instruments. :D It's been a few hectic days for the TMI fandom as well, filming began on Monday. Loving all the set pictures as well. ;)

Also, Sam Claflin is officially cast as Finnick Odair in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire! I don't really think he meets Finnick's criteria...but he's good. :)

So what do you guys think about all this cool casting news? :D

{Cover Reveals} Three New Covers!

Wicked Kiss
(Nightwatchers, #2)
by Michelle Rowen

Expected Publication: February 26th, 2013
Publisher: Harlequin Teen
Format: Paperback, 304 pages

MY KISS CAN KILL.

I used to be ordinary Samantha Day, but that's changed. Now, after one dark kiss from a dangerous boy, I can steal someone's soul...or their life. If I give in to the constant hunger inside me, I hurt anyone I kiss. If I don't...I hurt myself.

Bishop is the one whose kiss I crave most, but if I kiss him, I'll kill him. Then there's another boy, one I can't hurt. One whose kiss seems to miraculously quell my hunger. They're both part of a team of angels and demons that's joined forces in my city to fight a mysterious rising darkness, an evil that threatens everyone I know and love. I just wonder if I'll be able to help Bishop-or if I'm just another part of the darkness he's sworn to destroy....

NIGHTWATCHERS

When angels and demons must work together, something beyond evil is rising...

My Thoughts: I kinda like this cover, but I don't like the ghastly pink and who's on the cover. I didn't like Samantha in the first book, I'm sure I won't like her in this one. Though I love how well it fits.

Mistle Child
(The Undertaken, #2)
by Ari Berk

Expected Publication: February 12th, 2013
Publisher: Simon & Schuster Books For Young Readers
Format: Hardcover, 352 pages

In life, in death: family remains.

Silas Umber has finally come into his own as the Undertaker of Lichport when a mysterious invitation calls him beyond the marshes to Arvale, the ancestral manor of the Umbers. There, his extended family endures, waiting for a living Undertaker to return and preside over the Door Doom, an archaic rite that grants a terrible power to summon and bind the dead in judgment.

As Silas assumes the mantle of Janus, the Watcher at the Threshold, deep below the earth in the catacombs and sunken towers, grim spirits grow restless at his arrival—hungry for freedom and eager for vengeance against a family with a long history of harsh judgments. Now, Silas must right an ancient wrong and accept that even a house of ghosts can be haunted by its past—for in matters of family, we are who we were.

My Thoughts: I love this cover; how mysterious it looks and the font is so dramatic. It just adds to the appeal. I wish I had the first book! URGH.

Expected Publication: March 5th 2013
Publisher: Simon Pulse
Format: Paperback, 528 pages

Quench your Thirst with the finale to the #1 New York Times bestselling series from Christopher Pike. Sita has lived for centuries. She has seen more than most people could ever imagine.
She has loved and she has lost; she has killed many, and she has given life.

Now, at last, Sita’s story culminates in an epic—and satisfying—conclusion to the enormously popular Thirst series.

My Thoughts: I love the new covers for this series. It drew me in like a moth to a flame when the first volume came out. I had started it, and I can't even remember why I didn't finish it; it was so good. I want this book so bad, and I'm sad to see the new covers come to an end.

{Casting News} City of Bones has their Valentine!

A couple days ago, rumors had spread around the internet saying Jonathan Rhys Meyers is cast as Valentine, well a day later, Cassie confirmed it! I don't know about you, but he's not at all what I pictured at Valentine in the books, but I'm sure they'll work magic on him for the movie! Plus...it's Jonathan Rhys Meyers. Hotness walking. *fans self*

Here's the post Cassie posted on Tumblr.
Cassie said:
I’ve liked JRM since he was in Velvet Goldmine and I have to admit that image was what sprang immediately to mind when the producer called me and said “…Jonathan Rhys Meyers?”

I was like, “Velvet Goldmine!”

And Robert, who is German and very practical, was like, “I hope you have seen things he is in since then or I will assume you do not go to the theater.”

So yes I should probably also mention that JRM plays Henry the 8th on The Tudors, and does a very good job of being charismatic, power-hungry, and cold.

Did Henry the Eighth own unbuttoned white shirts? And unlaced pants? Either way I suppose we now see why Valentine got so many people to follow his crazy schemes. I suspect by the end of the movie everyone will be going “Just do what that good-looking guy tells you to do, you crazy kids!”

I should probably also mention that he was great in Match Point and Bend it Like Beckham and lots of my other favorite movies. So, in sum: Ireland, we have cleaned you out of your hot men. Sorry about that. You can have them back in three months when they’re done filming. In the meantime, Sarah Rees Brennan has offered to go onset and paint shamrocks on all the trailers.

What do you guys think? :D

{Casting News} TMI: We have our Alec!

Exciting news broke out on Cassie's Twitter and Tumblr today about the casting for Alec Lightwood for the movie of City of Bones. :D Rumors have been going around lately that Kevin Zegers is playing Alec, and well..they were right. ;p I'm suuuper excited that he gets to play Alec, he's perfect for the role and the casting people couldn't have chosen a better person~

Here's what Cassie said:
So in fact the gossip sites got it right but at the time there was no signed paperwork and he wasn’t actually cast yet so — there wasn’t anything I could say. Especially after we already had one Alec and lost him. So really I’ve been ripping out my hair since then. I think there are just pieces left.

Kevin was actually one of the first actors approached to play Alec but his schedule didn’t work with the filming originally so they went with someone else; then the scheduling changed once again and it didn’t work for Alec Mark Two, but did work for Kevin. Such are the vagaries of casting.

I’ve always liked Kevin, since Transamerica, and I had him on my website for Sebastian for ages which is funny in retrospect because now I’ve seen him play Alec so I think he’s much too nice for Sebastian.

One of the things I really liked about Kevin was that one of Alec’s audition scenes was the scene where Alec shouts at Clary in City of Bones and tells her she endangered Jace’s life. And a lot of the actors who auditioned played it yelling and really mean so you just thought, boy, Alec. What a jerk that guy is. Kevin played it with a quiet sort of intensity that grew through the scene so you could see through the cracks of the anger and think: wow, this guy is really scared and vulnerable. Because that is the Alec people love.

What do you guys thinks? Is he your Alec? I think the only one left now is Valentine...
I can't wait to see who plays him~
