New Cover Reveals!

Goddess
(Starcrossed, #3)
by Josephine Angelini

Expected Publication: May 28th 2013
Publisher: HarperTeen
Format: Hardcover, 432 pages

After accidentally unleashing the gods from their captivity on Olympus, Helen must find a way to re-imprison them without starting a devastating war. But the gods are angry, and their thirst for blood already has a body count.

To make matters worse, the Oracle reveals that a diabolical Tyrant is lurking among them, which drives a wedge between the once-solid group of friends. As the gods use the Scions against one another, Lucas’s life hangs in the balance. Still unsure whether she loves him or Orion, Helen is forced to make a terrifying decision, for war is coming to her shores.

In Josephine Angelini’s compelling conclusion to the masterfully woven Starcrossed trilogy, a goddess must rise above it all to change a destiny that’s been written in the stars. With worlds built just as fast as they crumble, love and war collide in an all-out battle that will leave no question unanswered and no heart untouched.

My Thoughts: I don't really like this cover, but I don't really dislike it either. I'm just okay with it. But it seems like it's photoshopped with the colors a lot. Definitely like the the first two covers out of the series better than this one.

Expected Publication: July 23rd 2013
Publisher: HarperTeen
Format: Hardcover, 416 pages

Following an all-out battle with the walking Dead, the Spirit Hunters have fled Philadelphia, leaving Eleanor alone to cope with the devastating aftermath. But there’s more trouble ahead—the evil necromancer Marcus has returned, and his diabolical advances have Eleanor escaping to Paris to seek the help of Joseph, Jie, and the infuriatingly handsome Daniel once again. When she arrives, however, she finds a whole new darkness lurking in this City of Light. As harrowing events unfold, Eleanor is forced to make a deadly decision that will mean life or death for everyone.

My Thoughts: I love the dress on this cover, it really suits the title and feel of it well. :) Haven't read the first book, but I'd really like to! It seems cool.

Expected Publication: July 4th 2013
Publisher: HarperTeen
Format: Hardcover, 400 pages

A stalker ghost, misguided Seers, and spellbinding wraiths—Amelia Ashley has faced them all. Now her greatest hope is to spend the rest of her afterlife with her living boyfriend, Joshua. But the demonic forces return to give her an ultimatum: turn herself over to the darkness or watch them murder one living person per week until she does.

Amelia fears she might really be doomed, until the forces of light give her another option. She can join them in their quest to gather souls, with a catch: Once she joins them, she can never see Joshua again.

Faced with impossible choices, Amelia decides to take her afterlife into her own hands—and fight back.

My Thoughts: This is a pretty cover! I really like all the covers in this series, but I think this one stands out more. Really want to start reading this series. :)

{Cover Reveal} Sweet Peril

Expected Publication: April 30th 2013
Publisher: HarperTeen
Format: Paperback, 464 pages

Anna Whitt, daughter of a guardian angel and a demon, promised herself she’d never do the work of her father—polluting souls. She’d been naive to make such a claim. She’d been naive about a lot of things.

Haunted by demon whisperers, Anna does whatever she can to survive, even if it means embracing her dark side and earning an unwanted reputation as her school’s party girl. Her life has never looked more bleak. And all the while there’s Kaidan Rowe, son of the Duke of Lust, plaguing her heart and mind.

When an unexpected lost message from the angels surfaces, Anna finds herself traveling the globe with Kopano, son of Wrath, in an attempt to gain support of fellow Nephilim and give them hope for the first time. It soon becomes clear that whatever freedoms Anna and the rest of the Neph are hoping to win will not be gained without a fight. Until then, Anna and Kaidan must put aside the issues between them, overcome the steamiest of temptations yet, and face the ultimate question: is loving someone worth risking their life?

My Thoughts: Is it just me, or does Kaidan have the same look on his face as on the first book? Lol, but I think this is a nice cover, not really a big fan of the first book, though I'm curious as to what comes in the second. What do you guys think? :)

If he ever cast that wicked grin her way, could she possibly resist him?

Who can Evie trust?

New Cover Reveals!

The Lost Prince (UK)
by Julie Kagawa

Expected Publication: November 2nd 2012
Publisher: Mira Ink
Format: Paperback, UK, 416 pages

Don’t look at Them. Never let Them know you can see Them.

That is Ethan Chase’s unbreakable rule. Until the fey he avoids at all costs—including his reputation—begin to disappear, and Ethan is attacked. Now he must change the rules to protect his family. To save a girl he never thought he’d dare to fall for.

Ethan thought he had protected himself from his older sister’s world—the land of Faery. His previous time in the Iron Realm left him with nothing but fear and disgust for the world Meghan Chase has made her home, a land of myth and talking cats, of magic and seductive enemies. But when destiny comes for Ethan, there is no escape from a danger long, long forgotten.

This novel is one of Julie’s books that will have you demanding for the second one as soon as you finish your read.

My Thoughts: Omigawd. I love this cover way better than the US version, I can't help it. It's so colorful and mysterious; definitely adds to the faerie element of the story. <3 I would love to get my hands on this version.

Expected Publication: April 23rd 2013
Publisher: Greenwillow Books
Format: Hardcover, 400 pages

The sequel to Masque of the Red Death, which Melissa Marr called, “Haunting and beautiful.” Araby Worth is poised either to save her city, or to abandon it. In a novel that embodies dark, sexy, tragic, and fearless, Bethany Griffin concludes her incredible, atmospheric reimagining of Edgar Allan Poe’s classic short story.

Araby Worth’s city is on fire. Her brother is dead. Her best friend could be soon. Her mother is a prisoner, her father is in hiding. And the two boys who stole her heart have both betrayed her. But Araby has found herself, and she is going to fight back.

Inspired by one of Edgar Allan Poe’s most compelling stories, “The Masque of the Red Death,” Bethany Griffin has spun two sultry and intricate novels about a young woman who finds herself on the brink of despair but refuses to give in. Decadent masquerades, steamy stolen moments, and sweeping action are set in a city crumbling from neglect and tragedy. A city that seeps into your skin. Dance of the Red Death is the riveting conclusion to the dark and fascinating saga of an unforgettable heroine.

My Thoughts: This is a beautiful cover! I love how the purple mixes so well with the grey of it, it makes it look even more darker. It's just a perfect combination. :) LOVE it!

Emblaze
(The Violet Eden Chapters, #3)
by Jessica Shirvington

Expected Publication: March 1st 2013
Publisher: Sourcebooks Fire
Format: Hardcover, 464 pages

Once again Violet Eden faces an impossible choice ... and the consequences are unimaginable.

Violet has come to terms with the fact that being part angel, part human, means her life will never be as it was.

Now Violet has something Phoenix - the exiled angel who betrayed her - will do anything for, and she has no intention of letting it fall into his hands. The only problem is that he has something she needs too.

Not afraid to raise the stakes, Phoenix seemingly holds all the power, always one step ahead. And when he puts the final pieces of the prophecy together, it doesn't take him long to realise exactly who he needs in order to open the gates of Hell.

With the help of surprising new allies, ancient prophecies are deciphered, a destination set and, after a shattering confrontation with her father, Violet leaves for the islands of Greece without knowing if she will have a home to return to...

My Thoughts: Since I didn't much like the first book, I'm not really a big fan of the covers, but this one is the best out of the three so far. That's really all I have to say on that. :/
